Summer has always been such a special time for me. A season where I’ve felt almost every emotion under the sun—joy, heartbreak, healing, growth, fear, and even that post-summer boredom. It’s also the time where I try to soak up every chance to be near water, especially the beach. The sun, the sand, the salty air—it’s the perfect backdrop to romanticize life a little. And this year, Andrew and I truly leaned into summer 2025 with travel. Our photo biz has taken us across the U.S., and our last trip is about to take us somewhere we never dreamed would come to fruition.
May
We kicked off the summer by shooting an elopement in Gatlinburg at Ely’s Mill Cabin. From there, we drove up the mountain to Newfound Gap, where we went from rain and fog to a breathtaking sunset—one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in years.

June
June started with a fun weekend in Atlanta with Andrew’s sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Kevin! We stayed at the Moxy Hotel—think poolside hangs, fun bar vibes, and lots of games.

Then it was off to Hilton Head Island with my family. This trip was all about slowing down and being together. One of my favorite memories will always be getting up early with my little brother, Reece, to try out different coffee shops and bakeries along the island.

Back home, we jumped right into back-to-back elopements atop the Foothills Parkway—one of my favorite local spots to drive, park, and soak in the mountains.

After a quick stretch at home, we shot one more elopement in Cades Cove (a beautiful but VERY hot evening in the loop!) before heading to Florida.

Clearwater was so fun. We stayed on Sand Key Island and loved venturing into downtown Clearwater over the bridge.

July
July slowed down just a bit, but not by much. We started the month with two back-to-back elopements—always such a joy!

Then it was off to Nashville for an engagement session. . .

before returning to one of our favorite tiny home Airbnbs, The Haven at Serenity Cove, for a content session. On the way, we detoured through Fall Creek Falls State Park and enjoyed some river time.

Just a few days later, I packed up again to second shoot in Nantahala National Forest with Kay, a traveling wedding photographer from Hawaii.

August
August brought the biggest adventure of all—our very first travel elopement in the Pacific Northwest. Tiffany and Zach trusted us to capture their day, and together we planned for an intimate celebration tucked away in the mountains of Washington State.

We landed on Artist Point Trail in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, a location that gave us everything they were dreaming of: sweeping views, alpine air, and the kind of intimacy you only find when you venture far from the crowds. The day was filled with laughter, breathtaking scenery, and moments that felt straight out of a dream.

For Andrew and me, it was more than just a wedding day—it was the beginning of something we’ve always dreamed about: taking our work across the country and documenting love stories in incredible places. This elopement will forever be a milestone in our journey.

- Endless kisses + roadside banter 💕
- And yes… one pee stop off the side of the road 🙈
Wrapping It Up
Looking back, this summer has been a wild mix of adventure, work, laughter, and little in-between moments that mean the most. I’m grateful for every mile, every couple we’ve met, every late-night conversation with Andrew on the road, and every new memory with family and friends.
